Canada Adventure 2015 Day 4

After brekky at the hostel in Lake Louise, we made our way to highway 93, Icefields Parkway. This was a long easy day of slab up to Jasper with some of the best views we’ve seen yet!

We saw our first glaciers on this road from a distance. There were many more we would see as well!

We crested one pass to find a spectacular view waiting for us. The closest glacier we had seen yet and, of course, we had to stop to get a closer look.

Although, we did make this hike in full gear… Then it was back on the open road.

We made one pit stop to take a break and have a snack at a tourist shop that was down the road from an amazing waterfall. Sounds like another hike in full gear…worth it.

Shall we get closer…?

Why not!

Back on the road, we saw our first mountain goats. We also saw some big horn sheep too but I was unable to snap a photo of them.

To end our day before getting into Jasper, we decided to take an awesome twisty ride up Mount Edith Cavell and see the sites. But mostly, it was for the ride, which made me wish I had my weekend twisty conqueror!

After that, we stopped at Whistler’s Campground south of Jasper to get a site and set up our camping gear. Then we went into Jasper to get some food and see the town. With no place that provided free WiFi and a lot of shops already closed for the evening at 5:00 PM, we didn’t stay long and went back to camp to get a fire going. As we got back to camp we met some of the locals.
