Mountain Bound 2016 Day 6

We woke up late on Saturday morning, casually strolled into the local diner and had breakfast before heading to more mountain passes on our way back through Lake City.

The first pass we hit was Hurricane Pass and it felt like a hurricane up there! It was very windy, rainy, and cold.

The summit selfies just weren’t the same without Ryan, but we did our best…

California Pass was next and it was really raining on us up there. So much so that we didn’t stop very long at all or even take off our helmets. I was able to snap a few photos and even watched as about 25-30 dirtbike riders came ripping up the trail to continue on down the other side.

Down the other side we came into Animas Forks and took a little break before climbing up Cinnamon Pass.

We came down the mountain into Lake City for the evening after a nice short days ride.

We had lunch then walked around the town to see what there was to do.

One of the local coffee shops had some live music playing out back so we took the opportunity to enjoy the show in this wonderful little mountain valley town as the sun set around us.
